Geetika. In 2005, it was semi final match – Mixed doubles badminton !!
And our match was against the best mixed doubles duo of college!! My BTech college!!
My senior told that he would take up the charge from back so that he can take care of the shots and
I was near the net. So that we earn points there. This is how we won that match, high shots we
defended our points and with near the net shots we earned the points.
Now after so many years I know the importance of when to take the charge and when to back off!!
It’s not always important to take charge only , it’s equally important to back off as well.
Similarly, to maintain quality it’s not always important to take charge and do pig projects only. But
also to make sure that the team is bucked up enough and we back off to let them take charge. It’s
more important for a team to be motivated enough to ensure that the target is met!!
This is how Quality culture is made .. and quality -way of life !!
